Where to Play Draw Poker

Draw Poker is poker where you get to choose your own cards and have the dealer draw from the top of the deck to try and get the best hand. You can either do this yourself with a standard deck of 52 cards or you can buy a deck of cards with holes cut in the top so you can deal the cards yourself. When playing draw poker you must pay at least the small blind or big blind before the hand passes to the player on your left.

The Hold

The dealer will place five cards face up in the middle of the table in what is called the flop. These are community cards and everyone can use them to make up their hand. There are three more rounds of betting starting from the player on the dealer’s left and continuing clockwise. Each player has the options to call, raise or fold. The last round is the showdown.

The Flop

The dealer places three cards face up in the middle of the table called the flop. These are community cards and anyone can use them to make up their hand. The Turn

The dealer places another card face up in the middle of the table called the turn. This is another community card which can be used to make up your hand. There is another round of betting which starts from the player on the dealer’s left and continues clockwise. Each player has the options to call, raise or fold. The last round is the showdown.

The River

The dealer places the final card face up in the middle of the table. This is the final community card and this is called the river. There is a final round of betting which starts from the player on the dealer’s left and continues clockwise. Each player has the options to call, raise or fold. The final round is the showdown.

The Showdown

With all the players still left in the game each player has to reveal what is in their hand. The player who placed the bet on the flop must reveal his hand first. The player left of the dealer must reveal his hand second. Once this is done each player has to reveal his cards to the other players and the dealer. The player with the best hand wins the pot. The best hand is the five card gutshot straight that is a combination of five cards in order. The four of a kind, full house, flush, straight flush and straight are examples of hand rankings. The best hand combinations are ace, king, queen, jack, nine and ten. The ace can be used as either a high card or a low card.

After the round of betting is complete the players chip in half of the minimum bet and the blinds are paid according to their hand. When the blinds are paid the players are out of the tournament. The remaining players remaining in the tournament are said to be out of the tournament after the events are conducted. In other words, they have completed the hand they agreed to do so.

Pot Limit

The pot limit games happen when the players are concerned about keeping in all the money that they have bet in the course of the game. It could happen that the players are given an option of either raising or throwing the entire pot all in.
