Winners for annual Jenna Grace King Memorial Scholarships Awarded
Each year Proclaiming Grace Outreach offers multiple $1,000 Scholarships to local students. This year three students each received $1,000 awards for their future education. To date, Proclaiming Grace Outreach, a local non – profit organization whose mission is to help those in need of food, clothing and small home repair in New Kent and James City Counties, has awarded $20,000 to the students of New Kent and James City Counties.
The criteria is based not only on academic performance but also on contributions of time to their community, church, and school, as well as their involvement in sports, being a good steward of the environment, and of the individuals around them. This year, Nicolas Rubino is the winning recipient at War Hill High School, and plans to attend James Madison University. The two other winning recipients were both from New Kent High School; Savanna Holley plans to attend Rappahannock Community College and Haley Holland will attend James Madison University. The Jenna Grace King Memorial Scholarship will allow these exceptional students the opportunity to better the community moving forward.
Proclaiming Grace Outreach’s goal is to build the Jenna Grace King Outreach Center that will house their service operations, thrift store, and allow them to have classroom space and multipurpose area to offer more services to more people. The organization also hosts a Food Pantry, Backpack program, along with supporting the efforts of New Kent Humane Society and New Kent Animal Shelter. This year Proclaiming Grace Outreach is hosting it’s 10th anniversary Jenna Bash Festival at Rockahock Campground on Saturday, August 5, 2017 from 11am-5pm.

Jenna Bash Festival – 10 year anniversary!
Join us for the 10 year anniversary for the Jenna Bash Festival 2017!
The event will be held on Saturday, August 5th from 11:00am-5:00pm at Rockahock Campground (1428 Outpost Road, Lanexa, VA 23089).
Kids will be able to enjoy a Train Ride, and the whole family can enjoy Hayrides around the campground, located on the beautiful Chickahominy River.
