First WI Cannabis Expo coming to Milwaukee in February
Cannabis isn’t even legal in Wisconsin for recreational or medical use, but there will be an expo dedicated to the industry in Milwaukee.
The WI Cannabis Expo, with exhibitors and speakers covering the cannabis industry, will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Wisconsin Center.
Alternative newspaper Shepherd Express is the presenting sponsor of the expo. The publication dedicates a section to hemp, the fight to legalize marijuana in Wisconsin and hemp-related business.
The cannabis industry comprises marijuana, hemp and cannabidiol (CBD), a non-psychoactive compound in cannabis.
More than 100 exhibitors from all over the industry will be at the first-time event, including growers, processors, dispensaries, operators, testers and investors. Attendees will be able to “sample and purchase product, attend presentations from leading experts in the cannabis, CBD and hemp industry, chat with thousands of cannabis enthusiasts and network,” according to the event website. Organizers expect more than 2,000 attendees.
The expo is signing up vendors and looking for sponsors for the event.
Advanced tickets are $15 through Dec. 31 and $20 until the event. Tickets will be $28 at the door. Attendees must be 18 years or older.
