Cartoon Characters, who are Secret Stoners
Cartoon characters who you never saw lighting up on scree, but know were secret stoners…
1 & 2. Scooby Doo & Shaggy –
Everyone know these too are stoners. And the creators don’t even try to hide it.
For one thing, Scooby Doo’s middle name “Doobie” is a synonym for a joint and Shaggy is the “shaggie” looking hippie stoner.
They always have the munchies, giggle all the time and even get a bit paranoid at times. They live in a “mystery van” (which leaves clouds of smoke in its wake), disappear for long stretches of time and display general confusion. Scooby and shaggy are clearly high for the entirety of the show.
Oh, and in the 2002 movie, Shaggy fall in love with a girl called Mary-Jane. Coincidence?
3. Patrick Star – Spongebob
Patrick Star live under a rock and wears bikini bottoms. And if thats not enough his antics are that of a typical stoner. He’s always eating, forgetting things mid-conversation, making stupid observations about the world and when he’s not that, he’s sleeping.
During the 1920s and 1930s the era when Popeye was created, “Spinach” was a popular slang term for marijuana. In addition, anti marijuana propaganda of the time claimed that marijuana use induced super-strength.
With this information, maybe the super-strength Popeye got wasn’t from eating spinach as the creators would have us believe, but from another green herb. Popeye has also been know to smoke his spinach at times. which begs the question: “What’s really in Popeye’s pipe?”
5. Snorlax – Pokemon
The only thing this pokemon does is eat and sleep. Sounds like he’s your typical indica stoner.
6. Michelangelo – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Michelangelo was the ‘Party Dude’ of the group and everyone knows that the party dude in a group of teenagers is the one who’s smoking weed.
Everything from the way he talks to his insatiable appetite leads us to believe he has a secret stash somewhere.
The Partnership for a Drug-Free America had a PSA that featured Michelangelo suggesting a kid who was offered pot get some pizza to go with it, but Donatello was there to shoot the idea down.
7. Stimpy – Ren and Stimpy
There was something off about both these characters. And could both have been puffing on the reefer, which could explain the bizarre and unusual situations they would get themselves into.
But if not both Stimpy was definitely high all the time. He was so high, he couldn’t even keep his tongue in his mouth, and he was way too laid back and completely oblivious to the fact that his actions were bothering his room Ren. That pair with the fact that he was always hungry leads me to believe he was getting high on a regular basis.
Garfield hated Mondays, and spent all his time at home sleeping or eating. He couldn’t fit the stoner stereotype more if he tried.
9. Winnie the Pooh
A overweight bear never able to find his pants and always on the hunt for his favourite snack – honey. With his belly always forcing his shirt up, honey smear on his face and hands and a general tendency towards clumsiness, Winnie the Pooh is a typical stoner always looking for snacks.
Its hard to imagine Pooh didn’t smoke some trees in the Hundred Acre Woods.
10. Speedy Gonzales
Speedy Gonzales embodies the anti-stereotypical stoner – fast, motivated and cunning. His cousin and presumed smoking partner “Slow Poke Rodriguez”is always on the hunt for food.
Here’s speedy singing “La Cucaracha”, not missing a beat of the lyric which translates to: “The roach, the roach, can’t walk any more. Because it needs, because it needs, marijuana to smoke.”

Top 10 High Cartoon Characters
High Cartoon Characters: Who doesn’t like to get high and watch your favorite cartoons? Looking back we all can tell which characters were obviously stoned. One we can all agree on is Scooby Doo and the gang. Back then I didn’t realize they were getting high. As we all got older we noticed there just stoned, lol. A few characters that I think maybe smoke the herb is homer, Stewie, Brian for obvious reasons. What famous cartoon characters do you think puffed the magic dragon? Comment Below Enjoy our gallery of stoner cartoon characters.
Its safe to say that Homer is a pot head. He eats everything in sight. When ever someone talks to him he just zones out. He is also very forgetful. I did see one or two episode were he did actually get high.
Stewie seem like he is on weed a little bit more. Stewie seems like the type that would try any drug at least once. Stewie is often seen with dilated eyes or just out of it.
Brian opening admits to using pot in a couple episodes. If I can remember correctly one episode he was smoking weed to help him finish his novel. The novel he has been working on for about 10 years now. At that point it will be out in theaters before print form.
- Ren And Stimpy
Ren and Stimpy is just a example of two stoner best friends living together. There main goal was just to do whatever they wanted and eat. They didn’t care about trash or how they lived, they couldn’t be bothered. I didn’t really realize watching years ago but now I am sure they get high, lol
I would say that Popeye was on those edibles. We think he was eating spinach but what if it was really infused with THC. What if the THC made him paranoid that is why when he ate the spinach he would get obsessive and controlling over Olive oil. The weed had him tripping, lol. Thinking another dude was going to take her. But again why was she entertaining Popeye’s arch enemy every chance she got. I think she was smashing dude on the low, lol. So maybe Popeye’s paranoia was actually justified. So I guess he needed an edible.
Garfield is the worst example of the lazy stoner. All he did was sit in the window, sleep and eat. Unfortunately I have just described 75% of my life, lol. Garfield also would get obsessed with an idea or mission and would do anything to reach a goal. He also often thought it was funny to play practical jokes. Garfield was not actually ever shown getting high but I would assume he was a stoner.
- Winnie The Pooh
Winnie the Pooh is another character that I think was getting high on the low. Winnie was obsessed with eating honey and would lay down and go to sleep anywhere. Those are clear indications to me he was smoking tree.
Goofy just looked high and everything about him was just a representation of a stoner. Goofy didn’t care how he dressed, if his house was clean or anything else. If he didn’t get high maybe he should tell people he do.
Shaggy reminds me of the hippy stoners from the 70s just care free and don’t give aF about anything. He really doesn’t care about his clothes or hair. He always looks like he just rolled out of bed. But he always seems to be in a great optimistic mood. Shaggy is an example of the chill laid back stoner.
Scooby was getting high because of the company he kept, I believe Shaggy introduced Scooby to smoking weed. Think about it how would Scooby role a blunt without thumbs. So my theory is that Scooby met Shaggy and had his first session hot boxing the van.
